Avail Engineering History
Avail Engineering traces its family roots back to 1950. Gerry Brey and brother-in-law Frank Stone started Electroarts, a neon sign company in Chicago, IL. Starting in 1959 Gerry started Brey Electric in Beaumont, CA. Brey Electric was a family owned business and the place where his son Mac Brey, founder and president of Avail Engineering, received his initial technical training. Mac Brey, the youngest sibling of nine and was the first to attend and complete college. He graduated from the University of Southern California in 1994. From the beginning Mac Brey was dedicated to continual improvement. Avail Engineering has since grown into a technically advanced company. Through his vision the company has evolved into what it is today.
